All about Joia Design.
Joia (joy-ah)
Where did the name Joia come from?
The word Joia is derived from several languages including the Old French Joie, and the Italian Gioia, meaning Joy. I went through several name variations, wanting something a little left of center with some deeper meaning - at least for me, personally, even if no one else in the world got it. Joia had the perfect combination of being a positive, happy word and a delicious level of intrigue.
Who is Joia Design?
Joia Design is me, Tracy Belair Gaito, a graphic designer. I run Joia Design out of my home in the hills of Huntington, Vermont.
I provide a full array of graphic services and specialize in print design including logo development and stationery packages, brochures and flyers, and ads. I'm also happy to work with you to manage your design projects for events such as a conference or your annual meeting (think: promotional items like t-shirts, totebags, banners and posters).
I'm an artist at heart and my studio is a colorful mix of computers, paint, color swatch books, paper and glue. I love living and working out here.
What's this Yes campaign?
The Yes campaign is based on a creative activity from a book that grew into a philosophy driving everything I do and every project I work on. The Yes campaign includes postcards featuring some of the Yes signs that hang in and around the Joia Design studio, with the goal of spreading this positive and powerful word, and encouraging others to experience the effects of Yes. Surrounding yourself with the word Yes can have a sweeping, positive effect on your work & life. Seeing them makes us smile and keeps us open to new ideas and possibilities.
